Cavitations are radiographic findings pertaining to lung imaging and/or ultrasound imaging. As such, cavitations cannot be identified using conventional dental radiographic imaging and they will not be mentioned in our radiology reports.
The following terms are clinical diagnoses that cannot be diagnosed radiographically due to insufficient radiographic criteria for identification:
- NICO (Neuralgia Inducing Cavitational Osteonecrosis)
- CFO (Chronic Fibrosing Osteomyelitis)
- CIBD (Chronic Ischemic Jawbone Disease)
- FDOJ (Fatty Degenerative Osteonecrosis of the Jaw)
These diagnoses will not be mentioned in our radiology reports since they cannot be diagnosed radiographically.
